About Maria Ellis:
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Maria Ellis is a bold Pop/R&B powerhouse – a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose standout voice and fearless storytelling are carving space for a new kind of pop star: one who confidently embraces power, sexuality, and strength on her own terms. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Ellis began her musical journey at age six, teaching herself piano and writing original songs.
Maria gained early traction on TikTok in 2020 with her viral self-written verse for 24kGoldn’s hit “Mood,” which amassed over 250,000 views in a single day. Since then, she has built a devoted fanbase, earning comparisons to the likes of Ariana Grande and Rihanna. With over 7.5 million views and 100,000 followers across platforms, her music has garnered playlist support from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora. Charting on both the Electronic and Pop categories of Apple Music and iTunes, her sound has been described by Digital Journal as “hypnotic Pop that’s steamy, sultry, and exhilarating.”
In May 2025, Maria released her debut EP ‘Ultrabaddie’ to critical acclaim, with its final single, “God Complex”, landing on Amazon Music’s Fresh Pop, Girl Squad, and Breakthrough Pop playlists. Drawing inspiration from her favorite female artists, the 8-track project explores themes of confidence, female empowerment, love, and loss, blending pop, R&B, and electronic production that highlight Maria’s dynamic vocals and vivid lyricism.
One of the very few female pop artists who writes and produces her own music, Maria brings full creative control to every part of her sound. Her music has been highlighted by Rolling Stone, Ones To Watch, Buzz Music, and many more. Her growing audience has extended into performances at New York Fashion Week, Steinway Hall, and Sofar Sounds.
Her next chapter of music includes her recent singles, Lucky and Relapse, all a part of a bigger story detailing the emotional arc of a relationship.
